Hooked – Never After Series - FV

Revenge was supposed to be his only obsession, until desire changed everything. In Hooked by Emily McIntire, the first novel in the Never After series, love and vengeance collide in a dangerously addictive dark romance. James has spent years pursuing one goal: destroying his enemy, Peter Michaels. When Peter's twenty-year-old daughter, Wendy, unexpectedly walks into his bar, James sees the perfect opportunity to strike where it will hurt most. His plan is simple: seduce her, use her against her father and finally claim the revenge he has been craving. But some temptations are far more dangerous than the enemies we seek to destroy.

Raised under the control of a wealthy, emotionally distant father, Wendy has spent most of her life sheltered from the outside world. One night out with friends changes everything when she encounters James, a mysterious and intimidating man whose dark charm awakens feelings she cannot ignore. Their attraction quickly develops into an intense, consuming relationship that draws Wendy deeper into a world filled with secrets, danger and betrayal. Meanwhile, James faces a traitor within his own circle, and his carefully calculated revenge begins to unravel as his feelings for Wendy become impossible to dismiss.

Caught between passion and suspicion, Wendy must confront a troubling question: is she falling in love with James, the man who makes her feel irresistibly drawn to him, or Hook, the dangerous figure hiding beneath his seductive exterior? As the boundaries between revenge and desire begin to disappear, neither can predict how far their connection will take them. Hooked delivers a provocative dark romance filled with forbidden attraction, emotional tension, dangerous secrets and morally complicated characters. Perfect for readers who enjoy intense love stories where passion and peril are never far apart.
